About
A.J. Cargill spent three decades in the mountains before founding Alpine Revival. Performance cashmere knitwear made to be lived in, not folded away.
Alpine Revival creates performance cashmere knitwear and accessories designed from the lens and experience of a World Champion skier - A.J. - and inspired by the freedom, character, and unmistakable style of mountain life.
A.J. Cargill, the brand brings the soul of the iconic ski sweater into the present—combining nostalgic alpine style with modern performance, durability, and ease.
We make pieces meant to be lived in: on the mountain, around town, across seasons, and for years to come.
Performance Cashmere
Cashmere is one of nature’s original performance fibers. It is exceptionally warm yet lightweight, naturally breathable, and remarkably soft. Most people think of cashmere as something luxurious and delicate, something to be worn only on special occasions.
We're trying to change that.
Our signature construction reinforces premium cashmere with a fine elastane filament, giving each garment greater flexibility, resilience, shape retention, pilling resistance, machine washability, and durability.
The result moves and performs more like technical apparel while preserving the warmth, softness, and unmistakable feel of cashmere.
Because true luxury is not something that lives carefully folded in a closet.
It is something you reach for again and again.
Small Batches. Lasting Significance.
We create in small batches, with limited color and size runs and a deliberate point of view. Every detail, from the weight of the knit to the placement of each stripe, the depth of a collar, or the unexpected flash of color, s considered.
Our pieces are made to feel distinctive without becoming disposable. Familiar, but never ordinary. Elevated, but never precious.
We call them future heirlooms because they are designed to join your life, carry your stories, and last long enough to be remembered.
Meet A.J.
Founder. CEO. World Champion Skier. Alpinist. Dreamer. Doer.
A.J. Cargill has spent her life pursuing athletic endeavors, exhilaration, truth, and awe.
As the founder,
her story seamlessly blends Alpine Revival's identity.
"There's simply nothing better than feeling the wind in my face when I let myself fly down the mountain with my skis swaying beneath me! It's almost like a dance, a playful, fast, trusting, comfortable relationship I have between my edges, my body and the snow," she exclaims.
A.J.'s road to Alpine Revival is woven through more than three decades chasing her dreams in the mountains. Not only was she competing at the global level in skiing, she was also helping others in the mountains - through teaching ski clinics and working on the esteemed Jackson Hole Ski Patrol. She mitigated avalanche hazard in Corbet's Couloir, with explosives and assisted injured guests to medical care. For more than a decade, she bought apparel and accessories (and merchandised the assortments with talent) for a collection of JH stores, developing an instinct for what customers want, what performs in demanding conditions, and what earns a lasting place in someone’s wardrobe. She later led sales for respected outdoor brands including Arc’teryx and Helly Hansen.
Through it all, she watched the iconic ski sweater disappear from the market, and she saw an opportunity to create the piece she could no longer find: a beautiful, expressive knit sweater with the performance and durability required for a real mountain life.
Alpine Revival grew from that idea—and from A.J.’s belief that the things we wear can do more than keep us warm. They can connect us to a place, an identity, a community, and the experiences that make us feel most alive.
Made for Life in - and Beyond - the Mountains
Alpine Revival is for people who want fewer, better things. People who value quality and individuality, seek adventure without needing to announce it, and understand that performance and style should never require a compromise.
We are building the modern mountain heritage brand that reconnects people to what made them fall in love with the mountains in the first place: Freedom. Adventure. Self-expression. Belonging. And joy.
Ski powder. Laugh louder. Wear it well.
Cashmere that's made to perfrom on the mountain and look exquisite when far away from the mountains - that's what we do.
