I've spent more than thirty years in the mountains, and I started Alpine Revival to bring back the ski sweater. Performance cashmere made to be lived in, not folded away.
Some brands begin with a business plan. I design every Alpine Revival piece through many lenses: World Champion skier, ski patroller, retail buyer, and lifelong knitter. Each one taught me something different about what we wear, and all of it is inspired by the freedom, character, and unmistakable style of mountain life.
Born in Jackson Hole, Alpine Revival brings the soul of the iconic ski sweater into the present. Nostalgic alpine style meets modern performance, durability, and ease, in pieces meant to be lived in on the mountain, around town, across seasons, and for years to come.

MEET A.J.
I've spent my life pursuing athletic endeavors, exhilaration, truth, and awe. My story and Alpine Revival's story are woven together, and it starts with a sweater.
I learned to ski in Michigan at age 7. Picture it: little A.J., a quiet and timid kid, wearing jeans and cotton long underwear, chasing my siblings around and doing my best to stay upright on 200 vertical feet of mostly ice.
Then I got a ski sweater for Christmas. It was blue and green, with frogs on the arms, and I thought it was SO cool. When I put it on, I stood a little taller. I felt like a skier, like I belonged to a universe so much bigger than our little hill. I started hitting little jumps, started keeping up with my siblings, and even started trying the harder stuff!
That sweater did more than keep me warm. It changed how I saw myself.
I was never the best kid on my ski team. I had to work hard for every bit of success, and I paid my own way. Five knee surgeries came before anything good did. Then I moved to Jackson Hole to ski extreme competitions, and within three years I was number one in the world. Some days up there, I still have to give myself a pep talk. You are fierce. You've got this today. Then I go.
My road to Alpine Revival is woven through more than three decades chasing my dreams in the mountains. Not only was I competing at the global level in skiing, I was also helping others in the mountains, teaching ski clinics and working 21 years on the Jackson Hole Ski Patrol. I mitigated avalanche hazard in Corbet's Couloir with explosives and got injured guests to medical care. I loved it, because I love helping people, especially when they're scared.
For more than a decade, I bought apparel and accessories (and merchandised the assortments) for a collection of Jackson Hole stores, developing an instinct for what customers want, what performs in demanding conditions, and what earns a lasting place in someone's wardrobe. I later led sales for respected outdoor brands including Arc'teryx and Helly Hansen.
Through it all, I watched the iconic ski sweater disappear from the market. Fleece. Polypro. Thinner insulation. More fleece. It all performed, but we lost the character, the fun, the feeling. I kept a little section of beautiful knit sweaters in our stores, and customers bought them every single time. I kept thinking, why doesn't anyone make a great ski sweater anymore? I'd love to design them.
So when COVID took my job along with half the company, I did the scary thing. I saw an opportunity to create the piece I could no longer find: a beautiful, expressive knit sweater with the performance and durability required for a real mountain life.
Alpine Revival grew from that idea, and from my belief that the things we wear can do more than keep us warm. They can connect us to a place, an identity, a community, and the experiences that make us feel most alive.
I know, because a sweater with frogs on the arms did that for me.
I started this company in my fifties. I also landed a backflip on skis in my fifties. Was it scary? You better believe it.
I'm an introvert and a homebody at heart, but I've made myself step up onto stages of all kinds, because I've always believed that if I can do it, anyone can. Last winter I coached a 65 year old woman off a jump that was neck high for her. That's the good stuff.
What makes me feel most alive is trying. Stand up and go for it. You'll feel better even if you fall down, and you'll probably laugh at yourself on the way.

Our signature construction reinforces premium cashmere with a fine elastane filament, giving each garment greater flexibility, resilience, shape retention, pilling resistance, machine washability, and durability.
